Description Rectangular two-piece box that once held a pound of Fanny Farmer chocolates. Top of box has gold outline and Fanny Farmer portrait. Says "Old Time-Home Made Fanny Farmer Candies". Sides of box say "Fanny Farmer Candies fresh from the studio" and "Shops in the leading cities of america studios in which these candies are made Rochester, N.Y., Brooklyn, Minneapolis, Detroit, Mich., Cambridge, Mass., Milwaukee, Wis.". Front of box has a drawing of the statue of liberty, and the back has a drawing of a house with the label "Homestead". Bottom of box is plain white cardboard. There is a stamp that says "[Unreadable] Fanny Farmer Candy Shops, Inc. Shop [unreadable] 413 W. Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, Wis.". Inside is embossed paper that would have covered the chocolate. Embossed with "Fanny Farmer Old Time - Home Made Candies Wholesome Sweets for Children" and two emblems showing eagles sitting on top of a crest with an olive branch and arrows behind it.

Maker Fanny Farmer
Maker Details Fanny Farmer was an American candy manufacturer and retailer. Fanny Farmer was started in Rochester, New York by Frank O'Connor in 1919 and grew to over 400 stores before being bought and consolidated. The company was named in honor of culinary expert Fannie Farmer, who had died four years earlier. In 1992 the Archibald Candy Company acquired the brand.
