Title Oxydol household soap

Description Tall orange and navy blue cardboard box containing Oxydol. The orange and navy blue are in circular stripes. Text on box reads, " Oxydol makes clothes sparkle, dishes gleam, gets clothes white, birght, and clean, and has rich, safe suds. Dissolves in a flash. Has directions on the back. Net weight four pounds, one ounce. Saves time, saves money. Goes farther. Safe for washable colors." Has original contents still inside.

Maker Oxydol

Maker Details Created in 1914 and was sold in the United States, Canada, and the UK. Purchased in 1927 by Procter and Gamble, and Oxydol was their first degergent. Was the degergent that put the 'soap' into 'soap opera', as it was the brand that had sponserships during these shows.

Notes Some water stains on the logo on the front ad the top lid. Some sun discoloration on the blue parts of the box. Creases on the front, especially around the edges. The corners and edges are frayed and torn.
