Place of Origin

Maker The Toy Tinkers, Inc.

Maker Details Located in Evanston, Ill. Charles Pajeau was the creator of Tinkertoys, and based the toy off of watching his children playing. Was first introduced at the 1914 American Toy Fair, but had limited interest. In 1915, there was more interest, due to better marketing. In the 1920's, the company started branching out with other types of toys. 1910-1985, then 1985-present.
