Description / Abstract "Beneficence brings blessings, and other stories" A little book containing five stories: "Wohlthun bringt Segen" by Anna Mayer-Berwald, "Eine Gebetserhörung" by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, "Weidenkätzchen," "Weinachtsbilder," and "Aus dem Leben eines Hirtenbübchen" by Friedreich von Nanel(?)

Physical Description A red cloth bound book with a paper label on it. Label is colorful and features the title and an image of a woman and two children sitting in a green living room. The spine has black inlay with an abbreviated title. Inside there are full page, colored illustrations for each story.

Author Anna Mayer-Berwald (1852-1935) & various

Author Details Of the authors, Anna Mayer-Berwald is the most well known. She lived in Northern Bayern and wrote not only stories, but newspaper articles, poems, and essays.

Notes The book has shelf wear, and some fading on the spine. Spotting is throughout the book. The pages are tanned, and some are chipped and bent. The first few pages are loose and ripped, as are the last few pages. Otherwise, most of the pages are tight.
