Physical Description A yellow cloth-bound, hard covered book with silver, black and red inlay. Images of Lincoln standing in a laurel with two torches on either side. Spine lists the title, author, and Illustrated. Torch is also on the spine. Inside is an inscription in pencil. Illustrations throughout the book.

Author Details Mentioned in book as the associate editor of "The Encyclopedia of Illinois." Wrote other books on the history of Lincoln and Illinois.

Notes The cover is in pretty good condition: no discoloration and slight shelf wear on the edges. The cover, however, is loose around the spine and is cracked in the inner cover. Penciled inscriptions in the front and back inner covers. All pages have brown spotting.
