Title Watkins Unguent

Description A round, colbalt blue tin with white, red, blue, and black designs and text. The lid features Watkins Unguent and lists the ingredients below it as well as the manufacturer information. The weight is also listed towards the top. The bottom of the lid lists the directions and claims of the product. There is still salve inside, and some of it has crystalized. There is a strong smell as well.

Maker Details The company was started in Plainview, Minnesota in 1868. Watkins introduced the "money back garuntee" with the use of his "trial marked" bottles. They expanded to nearby Winona, MN in 1885 and continued to grow across the U.S. The company produces many wellness and personal car items. It is still thriving and is known as Watkins Inc. today.
