Title Helps Tin

Description A red and gold tin with white lettering. Text: Active ingredients Menthol Licorice-eucalyptol Peppermint-Anise "HELPS" Trade Mark Cool and Soothe the Throat Net Wt. 1/2 oz. National Licorice Company Brooklyn N.Y. Moline, Ill. Philadelphia, PA. In two circles, one says ten cents and the other reads press here. The bottom lists the active ingredients and use. Sides are gold with black text with Helps and claim. Inside the tin is gold with black text "Helps" relieve tickling in the throat and are very comforting.

Maker National Licorice Company

Maker Details The company was created in 1902 by combining three other companies: Young & Smylie (who originally created cherry Twizzlers), S.V. & F.P. Schudder, and H.W. Petherbridge. The company created the Twizzler brand in 1929 and the company later changed its name to YAS Candies in 1968. Hershey Foods acquired the company in 1977.
