Maker Details The line was first introduced by Prince Georges V. Matchabelli of Georgia when he moved to New York to escape the Russian Revolution. He and his wife established the line in 1926 and called it the Prince Matchabelli Perfume Company. The crown shaped design was introduced in 1928. The company was sold in 1936, and was sold to various companies throughout the 20th century. It was last sold to Parfums de Coeur in 1999. The last fragrance created was in the early 2000s.
