Maker Details The company was started by Albert Hyde in 1889 in Wichita, Kansas. Originally, it was known as the Yucca company. The name was changed in 1906. The company grew and expanded with various flagships across the USA and into Japan. The Japanese company Rohto Pharmaceutical Co. acquired the company in 1988 and still produces mentholatum products today.
