Title Dr. Hobson's Pink Worm Wafers
Description A formerly pink box has now faded to a cream colored cardboard. The text and designs are in a navy blue. The top is framed with an image of a little girl in a circle. Says "Dr. Hobson's Pink Worm Wafers," "For the removal of round worms and pin worms," "compounded especially for children," with manufacturer information and No. 300. The sides state the quantity and active ingredients in the wafers. The bottom of the box lists directions and a warning. The box features a sliding/drawer opening.

Maker Details Henry Pfeiffer began his medicine company in 1901 after years of working in drugstores. The ingredients found in these wafers to kill the worms were poisonous and could lead to convulsions and even total blindness if used in large doses. The company was still in business after 1942.

Notes The box has lost its original pink color on the outside, but the sides of the drawer still are pink. The pink color has also been scratched off on the sides. There is water damage and molding all over the box, inside and out.
