Title Ovalyn Bullets

Description An oval shaped red tin which once held suppositories. The lid of the tin features a blue globe with a nurse holding a bloody bandage roll with the phrase "Ovalyn to heal the world of all its sores and wounds." Lists manufacturer information, trade mark, and claims. The inside of the lid lists instructions for the bullets. The bottom of the tin has trompe-l'oeil curtain around its edge and on the bottom lists directions and price.

Maker Ovalyn Laboratories

Maker Details Ovalyn Laboratories was founded in the spring of 1921 by Arthur and Madge Ebert, and John J. Kempf. The company was located in Milwaukee. It was listed in the official gazette of the U.S. Patent Office in 1922. Aside from suppositories, the company also produced ointments and salves. Nothing is known about the company past WWII.
