Maker The Grove Laboratories

Maker Details Edwin Wiley Grove bought out the pharmacy he was a technician at and named it Grove Laboratories in 1880 in St. Louis. The patent acquired for Pazo Pile Ointment was in 1899 and The Paris Medicine Co. sold Grove products, such as the ointment and Grove's chill tonic. The Paris Medicine Co. renamed the company as The Grove Laboratories Inc. in 1934 and in 1952 they dropped "the" to become Grove Laboratories. The company was acquired by Bristol-Myers in 1957.
