Place of Origin

Maker Schering & Glatz, Inc. / Schering Corp.

Maker Details Schering Corp. was established in Berlin by Ernst Christian Frederich Schering in 1851. It became a huge corporation with numerous umbrella companies, like Schering & Glatz Inc. in the USA. During WWI and WWII the company was under scrutiny by the American government and resulted in a split into Schering AG and Schering-Plough after "their assests were seized during WWII." Schering-AG was bought by Bayer in 2006 and Schering-Plough merged with Merck in 2009.
