Title Watkins' Lax-Tone

Description This bottle is made of clear glass with a label on the front and embossed glass on back. The front label says Watkins' Lax-Tone with an image or J.R. Watkins and his signature below it. There are instructions in English, Old German, and possibly Old Dutch. The back is embossed with Watkins' signature "Trial Mark" line as well as "Watkins." The original cork is still attached to the bottle.

Maker J.R. Watkins Medical Co. (Watkins Inc. today)

Maker Details The company was started in Plainview, Minnesota in 1868. Watkins introduced the "money back garuntee" with the use of his "trial marked" bottles. They expanded to nearby Winona, MN in 1885 and continued to grow across the U.S. The company produces many wellness and personal car items. It is still thriving and is known as Watkins Inc. today.
