Title Loxol Pain-Expeller

Description A glass bottle which once held 1.33 ounces of liquid. Two labels are on the front and back of the bottle. Black and red lettering are on the front label, and black lettering is on the back. Lists of claims , directions, and ingredients are found on the labels. A rubber cork is on top to prevent spills. The glass is embossed with F. A. Richter & Co Inc on one side and New York on the other. The liquid inside is a deep brown. The box is cardboard with elaborate grey designs. The box warns consumers of imitations and has directions. The pamphlet explains how to use the liquid in various situtations.

Maker Details Originally, the F.A. Richter & Co., Inc. produced pain relievers in Germany (since 1867.) Factories were created all over Europe and the United States. The New York location was established in 1916 and was confiscated by the U.S. government around 1919. The Richter company produce other products including wellness items and children's toys.

Notes The label is still clearly ledgible, however it has some staining on the bottom of the label. It has been opened in the past, because some of the liquid is gone. The label on the back is also ledgible with one small stain towards the bottom.
