Title Rubber Vulc Toothbrush

Description The Rubber-Vulc toothbrush was made with sterile bristles and vulcanized hard rubber for the handle. This toothbrush will not shed its bristles and is sterlized; convientenly wraped in what feels like wax paper to keep germs out. The box is green with black and white lettering and an image of the toothbrush. The toothbrush also has a metal hook, assumingly for hanging on the bathroom wall. The brush is a size medium.

Maker Rubber Bound Brush Company

Maker Details The company was located in Belleville, New Jersey and was competition to the Rubberset Brand from Newark, New Jersey. In a 1914 issue of the Meyer Bros. Druggist (vol. 35, #2), it states that the Rubber Bound Brush Co. was sued by Rubberset for misleading purchasers with their similar names. Rubberset won and RBBC was forbidden to use similar names of Rubberset.

Notes Compared to CMY2618a-b, the box is in similar condition but the toothbrush, not so much. The box is worn on the edges and the tabs for closure. The toothbrush's paper has been torn and crinkled. The metal hook inside of the brush is loose.
