Title Prophylactic Dental Brush
Description The Prophylactic Dental Plate Brush is indispensable for artificial teeth. It was made to reach every curve and crevice of plate and teeth. Two stiff, unbleached bristles help clean both plate and teeth. The sterlized yellow box was designed to keep dust, dirt, and germs off of the brush. This brush and box is from before 1924.

Maker Details Established in Florence, MA in 1886, the Florence Mfg. Co. focused on health care products. The Prophylactic toothbrush was patented 21 October 1884 and was highly advertised during the early twentieth century. In 1924, the company changed its name to Pro-phy-lac-tic Brush Company, based off of the brush. In 1930, Lambert Pharmaceuticals acquired the company. Lambert is now Pfizer Inc.
