Physical Description Paper with black ink. Two pieces of paper. One large and folded at center for the cover, and one single sheet of paper for the interior. Front and back covers have glossy coating. On front cover text at top "There's A New Star / In Heaven To-Night/ Rudolph Valentino". At lower left is photograph of Valentino. Black circle with text at lower left edge. At right edge center are authors. Lower right corner has publisher information. On interior pages, paper is rough, advertisements along bottom edge at center. Back cover has advertisement for Jack Mills, Inc with illustrations at left of conductors holding music and sample of the music at right. Dimensions: 12 1/8" H x 9 3/16" W

Author J. Keirn Brennan; Irving Mills; Jimmy McHugh

Author Details Brennan (1873-1948) was an American songwriter best known for co-writing the 1929 film The Show of Shows. Mills (1894-1985) was a jazz music publisher and musician. In 1919, he and his brother Jacob started Jack Mills Music. Jimmy McHugh (1894-1969) was an American composer and is credited with over 500 songs. He often teamed up with Mills.

Notes Writing in pencil on front cover. Hole at lower left edge by circle from pin. Spine is creased and worn. Discoloration along edges. Ink rub off at left edge center. Interior pages are yellowed throughout and discolored. Pin hole does not go through interior page. Small area of loss at lower edge of interior page to right of center. On back cover there are small brown stains at lower edge to left of lower right corner. Lower right corner is creased and worn.
