Notes In 1918, Lindemann Brothers Circus gave its first performance in Sheboygan, WI at Center Ave and N. Water St. It was run by four Lindemann brothers: Al, Carl, Pete & Bill. Bill was the general manager and boss of the show. In 1924, the brothers felt that Lindemann was not a circus name so they adopted an eariler circus that was no longer operational "Sells" and added it to "Sterling". However the Ringling Bros purchased the Sells title so in 1925, the circus became the Seils-Serling Circus. The motorized shows stopped in 10 states over 29 weeks. Like many other circuses it was affected by the depression. The last performance by Seil-Sterling was in Iron Mountain, MI in July 1938.
