Description Metal tin, reads as follows: Lid: “Trade mark registered, U.S. Pat. Office, Washington, D.C., Trade mark, ‘Simoniz’ Kleener, Dry cleans all fine finishes, Duco, Lacquers, Varnish, Enamel, No scratching – No acids, Restores luster” features image of man waxing car shows before and after, “Revives enamel” Sides: Shows makers label, advertises use for automobiles and furniture. “Cleans and restores luster to all finishes, Duco, Lacquers, Varnish, Enamel, Removes spots, stains, dullness, blemishes, traffic fumes. 12 oz. net weight. Made in U.S.A. the Simoniz Company, 2114-2120 Indiana Ave., Chicago, U.S.A.”, shows instructions for use. The letter ‘C’ inside of a diamond stamped on bottom. Also reads "Not for export, for consumption in U.S. only.

Maker Simoniz Company

Maker Details George Simons and Elmer Rich founded Simons Manufacturing Company in 1910. In 1912 ownership transferred to Rich and the company became Simoniz. Rich created the slogan "Motorists Wise, Simoniz," which was popularized by continuous radio broadcast advertising.
