Maker Details In 1946, Circus Williams was created by Harry and Carol Williams in Germany. Carol came from a circus family the Althoffs. They kept their winter quarters in Cologne, Germany. The circus had 80 horses and a menagerie with 5 elephants. After Harry died in a circus related accident Carol trained Gunther Gebel to run the circus. Gunther was a self-taught animal trainer.
