Title Snow Skates

Description Pair of wooden ice skates. Painted red. At top is wood platform with ribbed piece of rubber attached. At toe end, the wood is curled upward. Blade is wood with thin piece of metal attached starting at front curled end and running entire length. On side of blade there are three holes punched out which would have leather laces tied through. Metal piece is curled inward and attached with nails on front and back.

Notes Unsure if originally painted red. Missing leather ties. Overall, on both skates wood has surface scratches and dents. On A: rubber is dented and worn at left edge about 6.5" from toe. Dust accretions in ridges of rubber on top of platform. Rubber is worn with dents and loss. On back of skate there are white accretions on metal. Metal is tarnished and rusted. Loss at toe end with dent at front. B: Dust accretions in rubber of footbed. Wear on edges of rubber. Overall, wood is dirty and stained. On front at left there is black staining on toe curcl and black accretion at top. Wood is worn on edges. Metal blade is rusted and tarnished with scratches.
