Title Hall's Ink Compound

Description Red, paper, rectangular box with paper label around edges. Unopened and containes dry ink. Label at center has red box with text "Halls / Black Ink / G.U. Hall / Abingdon, Illinois". Across the top of the label text, "Halls' Ink Compound / Quarter Gross". At bottom of label there are directions for product. On left side of box and bottom of box there is text "Hall's / Ink Compound / In Black, Purple, Carmine / and Green an Hall's / Bank & No. 1 Steel Pens / Promptly furnished on receipt of price". On right side of box and bottom is text "Ink Bottles / May be ordered in quantity to suit / Wholesale Druggists / Keep in stock one and two / ounce Ink Bottles, both of green and flint glass."

Notes Overall, paper is worn and scratched. Label is discolored and stained. Box is faded on front side and back side, compared with bottom of box. White marks on top and bottom sides of box. On upper right corner of top there is a large black stain. Edges and corners are worn with some loss of ink or paper layer.
