Maker Doria

Maker Details Doria dates back to 1800 when Alessandra Zanin began producing bread at Sarmede in the Province of Trevisio, just 8 kilometers from the current production plant. Ugo Zanin's business grew and expanded to other bakeries during the early 1900s. After WWI the company broaded to producing pastries thanks to Ugo's confectionist wife Antoinetta Donadon. After 1935 Ugo's sons Gastone and Giorgio were involved in the business as children. During WWII bread was produced and delivered to both sides. In 1950 the company's signature cookie, the Bucaneve, is created. The "Doria" name was first used in 1958. In 1960, Doria began selling abroad. In 2006 the company joined with the Bauli Group. The company is still active today.
