Title Red Rock Cola sign

Description Rectangular, metal embossed sign. Front is painted white with red text. Text reads, "Enjoy Red Rock Cola". below at center is "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." At lower right corner text, "Stout Sign Co. - St. Louis Mo." Hole punched out at each corner and top and bottom at center for hanging. Back side is plain, light gray.

Notes Metal is bent and dented from storage. Around holes at corners and center the paint is chipped off. Edges are worn with loss of paint. Vertical crease at top edge inbetween center and right corner. White paint is yellowed and stained. Exposed metal is rusted. Surface scratches throughout. Back side has large patch of rust at left. Edges around are rusted. Metal is scratched on surface. Accretions on surface at left.

Notes Lee Hagen and G.T. Dodd founded the Red Rock Company in 1885 in Atlanta. Ginger Ale was the first product. By 1947, the products were bottled in 25 out of the, then, 47 states.
