Title Yuban coffee tin

Description Tin canister with paper label. A- Lid is metal with embossed lettering "Arbuckle Brothers" at top and "New York" at bottom. Brown sticker goes across center of lid with "Arbuckle Bros." written on in. B- can is tin. Has brown, paper label adhered to sides. On front side in large off-white circle "Yuban / The Arbuckle / Guest Coffee". At bottom edge "Arbuckle Bros." On back side in white box is a description of product

Notes Lid is a tight fit onto canister - leave off for storage. A- Lid is worn and tarnished. At left loss of a piece of the sticker. Sticker has small tears and it loose on lower left corner. Edges of lid are worn. Interior of lid has light scratches, discoloration, tarnish around edges. B- Metal exterior is tarnished and worn. Dents on top edge. Paper label is worn, discolored and staine.d Loss at top edges of paper. Top edge of paper is worn with small tears. Bottom side of can is tarnished. Brown stains on upper left corner. Sticker to left of center. Interior of can is good, some light scratches, and coffee remenants stuck in corners.

Notes In the 1850s, John & Charles Arbuckle started Arbuckle Brotheres Coffee in Pennsylvania. In 1871 they moved to New York. In 1912, the company launched the Yuban brand after John died. In 1921, they decided to take the brand national. In the late 1930s, General Foods purchased Yuban.
