Notes T.B. Dunn and Co developed Sen-Sen in Rochester, NY in the 1890s. It was a breath freshener that had a licorice taste to it. It was sold in small cardboard boxes. The product is a tiny black square. In 1913, the company became the Sen-Sen Chicles Company. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sen-Sen http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1985-09-03/features/8502270616_1_envelope-package-sen-sen-breath http://books.google.com/books?id=z8sfRFPeeyUC&pg=PA174&lpg=PA174&dq=sen-sen,+american+chicle+company&source=bl&ots=GFkWz1iU-C&sig=KVQ0mM-wcbmA9FTzjqlrfBPXzs0&hl=en&sa=X&ei=F0rhUtDfOPjMsQTq8YDwDg&ved=0CDYQ6AEwBDgK#v=onepage&q=sen-sen%2C%20american%20chicle%20company&f=false
