Notes The porcelain sign would hang on the arm of a cable shovel, a piece of construction equipment. In 1880, Bucyrus Foundry and Manufacturing Company was founded in Bucyrus, Ohio. In 1893, the company moved its headquarters to South Milwaukee. In 1927, the company merged with erie Steam Shovel Company and became Bucyrus-Erie. The company started with surface and underground mining equipment, and after the merger also excavators. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucyrus-Erie
