Notes The Puritan Candy Company was headquatered in Milwaukee along the Milwaukee Riverm between the Broadway and Water Street bridges. The company made a variety of items including chocolates and "Goodies" advertised in this sign. In 1932 the company was supplying large amounts of a new novelty, candy "cigarets." A Milwaukee Sentinel article of 11/10/1932 reports the company produces 120,000 candy cigarets, 4,800 pounds of chocolate, and 4,000 pounds of hard candies a day.
