Title Luxury Bread sign

Description Heavy paperboard sign advertising Luxury Bread. Sign is printed with a dark blue background. Orange/red ribbons surround Luxury Bread name. Sign reads: "Ask for dainty Luxury Bread Famous For Its Flavor." Outside border of sign has Greek key type design and holes along top side where sign was hung on nails. Also a single hole along the bottom of the sign. In small red print on lower border design is printed "5.M. 5-29-16 Rook No. 2119 Schulze Advertising Service - Bakery Advertising, Chicago." In ribbon border design "Reg. U.S. Pat. Office" is printed in white.

Maker Details Schulze Advertising was located in Chicago and did considerable advertising for bakeries. They offered signs and promotions for a number of breads including Luxury Bread. It appears that Luxury Bread was a brand owned by the Schulze Baking Company.

Notes Sign has wear and a bit of tearing around outer edges. Top edge of sign has four round holes and bottom has one round hole; these holes were likely from nails used to hang sign for display. Main section of sign is in excellent condition.
