Author Mrs. Fannie E. Newberry

Author Details Fannie Ellsworth Stone Newberry was born in 1848 in Monroe, Michigan. She moved to Chicago when she was five and attended the Young Ladies Seminary of Monroe, Michigan. At age 17 she graduated from a school in Brookline, MA. In August, 1867, she married attorney Frank D. Newberry oh Rochester, MN. They had four children. She wrote at least 13 books. Fannie died in 1942 and is buried in Coldwater, Michigan.
