Title La Palina Major Cigar Box

Description On the left side of the box, there is a label to indicate what color it is. On the right side of the box, there is the same picture of the woman, but a head shot and "mild" and "made good" on either side of her. On the bottom of the box, there is a factory number and the district place on a stamp with two coconut trees next to it. On the inside, there is an advertisement and the same picture as on the front but in much better condition. On the advertisement there is a woman and a man having a cigarette.

Maker Congress Cigar Company

Maker Details Philadelphia, PA. The company was founded in 1896 in Chicago, Their first product was the La Palina. The company moved to Philadelphia in 1910. The cigars stopped being produced in 1926. The brand was revived again by Bill Paley in the 21th century. He was he grandson of the original founder.

Notes The box is worn on the front lid and the sides. The original seal is only partially there. On the inside, there are not many worn spots or look of age. The original advertisment is in good condition. On the bottom left side it concaves a little bit, and the label is messed up.
