Object Desc Small wood and metal toy train manufactured by Toy Tinkers Inc. of Evanston, IL. Model dated to 1924. Toy Tinkers Inc. was started by H. Pajeau in 1914 with the release of TinkerToys. In 1920 the company began to branch out and manufacture other toys.

Title Pull toy train

Description Small wood and metal toy train manufactured by Toy Tinkers Inc. of Evanston, IL. Constructed using rounded pieces of wood and flat pieces of cut steel. Four rounded red wheels, one thin steel wheel (front). Brown stained chimney on front of engine. Metal pieces painted yellow and green (passanger motif). Rounded pieces of wood on top and bottom of toy stained red and black. Long cord with round red knob attached used to pull-train along behind the user.

Notes Dusty, wood stain is fading. Very light rusting along edge where metal meets wood. Cord is discolored--knot near top. Pin connector between the engine and the passanger car is rusted, paint chipped along twisted metal edges. Gloss on stained portions almost completely worn off.
