Summary Poor

Assessor Christina Beebe

Notes This boater hat is in fair to poor condition. The front of the hat (The embellishment on the band is on the proper left side) has a long horizontal tear where the straw has been ripped. The back side of the hat on the brim, there is a notch taken out of the hat. It looks like this is the point where the border of the hat brim was sewn together, but has come undone a bit and the straw has broken off. The edge of the brin shows a lot of wear on the thread that was used to sew the border of the brim on. The band has overall fading and stains. the hat has overall discoloration from what looks like dirt/dust. The inside of the hat has a sweat band that has overall staining/discoloration. There has also been a piece of elastic safety-pinned into the hat to make the size a bit more snug for the wearer. The top of the hat looks like it is bowing in a bit.
