Maker Details From 1901-1920 and 1933-1962 Independent Milwaukee Brewery served alcohol from 1930-1933 because of prohibition they served nonalcoholic beverages after acquirng a permit. It was called the Independent Milwaukee Brewery, but locally was known by its brand name: Braumeister Beer. Its beers included Braumeister Genuine Lager Beer, Braumeister Pilsener Beer,
