Place of Origin

Maker John Mason

Maker Details This jar is hand blown, it has lots of air bubbles, no number stampbed on its bottom, and the walls are of an inconsistent thickness, this jar is prior to mass production of glass by machine. This jar could be as old as 1858, & probably isn't any newer then 1900, when Ball Mason Jar Co. began mass-production of jars by machine.

Summary Very Good

Assessor Hannah Lartz

Notes For being so old, this jar is in excellent condition. I have found no breaks, chips or cracks. The lid is in rough shape. The outside is only alittle tarnished, but the inside is corroded around where the porcelain disc center/seal meets the metal.
