Maker Details Manufactured by Postum Cereal Company Battle Creek, Mich., U.S.A. Net weight ounces. Picture of a table with plates and tea sets on top. One tea pot says postum cereal. No coffee or medication are found in Postum.The directions are on the back of the container. The tin makes up to 90-100 cups.Patented July 9th 1912. says Caaffeine produces sleeplessness and is often the hidden cause of nervous disorders. The caffeine-free beverage was created by Postum Cereal Company founder C. W. Post in 1895 and marketed as a healthful alternative to coffee.This 10-calorie beverage was caffeine free, fat free, trans-fat free, sodium free, and kosher. The Postum Cereal Company eventually became General Foods, which was bought by Kraft Foods.
