Object Name Morton Salt canister

Object Desc 2-lb cardboard Morton Salt canister. Manufactured in Chicago, IL. Morton added Magnesium Carbonate to salt in 1911, allowing table salt to flow freely. Morton also devloped iodized salt in 1924 which helped prevent the formation of goiters.
