Title Ice cream scoop

Description Metal ice cream disher (scoop) with wooden handle. Handle is 4" long and is engraved with "No. 50A" Brass nickle plated metal scoop is 5" long. Thumb piece engraved with "ARNOLD Racine, Wis. Pat. Feb., 1, 1927" Metal scraper inside scoop bowl is engraved with "16" This refers to the size of the scoop bowl itself and that you can get 16 sccops per quart using this disher. Scoop bowl width is 2 1/4" Scoop was invented by Harrison D. Flegel. Patent #1615939. Patent was filed June 17, 1925 and issued February 1, 1927. Produced by the Arnold Electric Company in Racine, Wisconsin. Patent information found at http://www.google.com/patents/US1615939

Notes Wooden handle is smooth and has lost some of its finish. Metal portion of scoop is in fair shape. Some loss of nickle plating and green corrosion. Dirt or other debris present in some areas. Mechanism works well.
